Our philosophy and what we achieve

We believe that a corporate image and an audio image are attached at the hip. A podcast is not a video minus pictures. Audio that arrives at a listener when he/she is alone needs to be sharply focused. The creative needs to target the solitary nature of podcasting. Marketing to the individual touches that person. As a marketing channel podcasting is as individualistic as it gets.

Audio integrity too is dear to our hearts. One can have thousands of subscribers to their podcast yet it means little if the audio fidelity of the program is second rate.
To be blunt, many of the corporate podcasts we've sampled on the Internet are of inferior audio quality. A lot of what's out there sounds no different than AM radio circa 1972. We at The Refinery cannot imagine how prestigious companies put their stamps of approval on such sub-par producing. Perhaps because of the internal nature of some podcasts these companies feel pristine audio is either unobtainable or not worth striving for.

The Podcast Refinery could not disagree more. Long before the podcast revolution we were production purists; squeezing every last drop out of each and every decibel. We don't look good if your podcast doesn't sound good.
We believe that the writing component of a podcast ought to be tight and void of filler. Production music should enhance the written word and not obstruct. We are keenly aware the final mix of any podcast will need to punch through the clutter. After all, your podcast will have to compete with the other audio on listeners' portable devices (i.e. favorite songs by artists). Hey! Give your audience a reason to listen!

The Podcast Refinery takes into account all of these things so you don't have to.
From conception all the way to the ear drums of your listener, we are alongside you every step of the way.

It may be your podcast but it's our baby.
